I think the simplest way to help seniors navigate the streets is to write out the directions on paper..make sure that landmarks and cross-streets are referenced as clearly as possible..if the individual has been driving for a while, he or she may be very resentful of such explicit instructions..if you are not sure that they are grasping what you suggest, take them to their destination yourself or make arrangements to have a competent someone else do the driving.
